Russia Reports Two ASF Outbreaks
RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported another two outbreaks of African swine fever in Volgogradskaya Oblast and Respublika Kalmykiya.The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received Follow-up Report No. 81 yesterday, 18 April.
Out of a total of two outbreaks of ASF, 11 pigs were found susceptible, out of which eight cases were identified. Five deaths were reported, and six animals were destroyed.
The source of the outbreaks remains inconclusive. Several measures have been applied to contain the situation.
