Ideas and experience will be shared on a range of issues dealing with the treatment of livestock for meat. The programme will include a conference with a keynote address from Andrea Gavinelli, head of the Animal Welfare Unit at the European Commission.

Dr Phil Hadley, EBLEX southern senior regional manager, said: “The YEMCO conferences provide an ideal forum for young executives and managers from European companies involved in the meat and livestock industry to exchange ideas and experiences.

“As such, younger managers from meat processing and trading businesses from throughout the UK would benefit from attending the meeting and exchanging views with their peers in other European countries on issues that affect the industry.“

The event will take place in London on 10 and 11 May.

Further information is available from Dr Phil Hadley.
