The most significant increases have been recorded in the South East regions. The increase is mainly a result of a decrease in the supply of live animals, since majority have still not reached the ideal weight for slaughter.

Moreover, processing plants believe that the representatives for pork producers are limiting the supply strategically to generate recovery rates.

In some Southern regions, prices are still falling. Besides the typical "delay" in prices, the Southerners, due to the dominance of integration, are facing a new decline in exports of pork in April.
