“Working in partnership with our sales and marketing teams, as well as our customers, has been a key to our success,” says Tyler Holck, DVM, director of Swine Technical Services. “Dr Cano has the experience and relationships we need to continue to grow our business as our portfolio expands.”

Dr Cano earned his DVM in Venezuela and his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. He gained broad experience as a swine practitioner in Venezuela, where he also wrote a number of peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr Cano joined the BIVI Swine Division in 2009.

He is now responsible for two professional teams that are being consolidated. This restructuring also changes the roles of several other team members:

• Tom Wetzell, DVM, and John Waddell, DVM, will serve as senior veterinarians in their respective regions and dedicate more of their time to regional strategic account support.
• Wetzell and Waddell, along with Keith Bretey, DVM; Tom Fangman, DVM; Jeff Luebbe, DVM; Jeff Okones, DVM; Nathan Schaefer, DVM; and Amanda Sponheim, DVM, will report directly to Cano.
• Cano’s previous responsibilities will be shared by several employees, including Erin Johnson, DVM; Eduardo Fano, DVM; and Enrique Mondaca, DVM.
