Ministry CEO Values Development Achieved by Spanish Pig Industry

SPAIN - Carlos Cabanas, CEO of Markets and Agricultural Productions of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, has stressed on the value and importance of the development of Spain's pig industry over the years and its current leadership position.

Mr Cabanas also highlighted the efforts made by the pig sector to comply with the rules on animal welfare and to incorporate technological innovation, as well as its commitment to the future.

The Ministry has awarded a special prize to the farm The Escobars located in Soria in recognition of its production conditions.
