ABC reports that about 500 sows and piglets died when an accidental blaze broke out from a fuel-operated water pressure cleaner at the Burnett Pork Alliance pig farm, near Mundubbera, more than three weeks ago.

The company also lost pigs and infrastructure in January's floods.

Pork Queensland president John Coward says about 12 companies and individuals have offered technical and emotional support.

"The local abattoir, Swickers Kingaroy Bacon Factory, has sent three of their maintenance people up to help them erect temporary accommodation and shelter, a number of other producers have sent through equipment to help with feeding the little pigs, and most of all, it's been about support because the staff are working around the clock."
