Genesus Sends More Breeding Stock to Tecon in China

CHINA - Genesus has announced a successful shipment of high quality swine breeding stock to Tecon Group of Urumqi, Xianjiang province.

Tecon Group was established in 1993 and is designated a key national production farm in China.

Currently, the company has six swine breeding farms, which have a production capacity of 300,000 head per year. Along with other holdings, the company has an annual slaughter capacity of one million hogs.

Recently, Genesus sent a 747 to Urumqi via Iceland.

Last year, Genesus was the largest exporter of swine breeding stock from North America.

Mike Van Schepdael, vice president of Genesus, said: "Genesus is committed to sending the very best to our customers. Our Genetic Research and Development Program is creating rapid sustainable development.
