New Scheme for Aujeszky's Disease Surveillance in UK

UK - The agriculture department has announced a new scheme for the surveillance of Aujeszky’s Disease on British pig farms will begin when the current one closes at the end of this year.

The current state aid scheme (N699/1992) administered by Defra closes on 31 December 2014 but Defra says that surveillance for Aujeszky’s Disease is an ongoing requirement so a new scheme will commence on 1 January 2015 and close on 31 December 2020.

The scheme applies to all small and medium-sized enterprises within Great Britain.
