Another Wild Boar Tests Positive for ASF in Lithuania

LITHUANIA - Another wild boar has been found dead with African Swine Fever (ASF) in Panevezys county, Kupiskis district, Simoniu parish.

The wild boar was found dead on 28 February and in the framework of the national ASF programme, was delivered to the National Food and Veterinary Risk Assessment Institute for ASF testing.

On 2 March, ASF was confirmed by real-time PCR. On 5 March, ASF antibodies were found using IPT (indirect immunoperoxidase technique).
