ASF Found in More Russian Pig Operations

RUSSIA - Six further outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) have been reported in wild boar and farmed pigs.

There were four outbreaks in wild boar which lead to seven cases. These were detected at a Natural park in Ryazanskaya region and at three forest sites in Ryazanskaya, Pskovskaya regions and the Kabardino-Balkar Republic.

In the Saratovskaya region, a village pig operation reported an ASF outbreak in one pig. All 81 pigs susceptible have now been destroyed.

A farm in Krasnodar Krai also reported an outbreak which lead to 10 cases out of a susceptible population of 608 pigs.
