The affected premises included four backyard pig operations. Two pigs died, and there were 6 cases in all across the four pig outbreaks. Another 24 pigs were destroyed to prevent the disease spreading.

There were also 68 cases in wild boar, of which 56 died and the rest were destroyed.

The outbreaks occurred in various locations across the east of the country.

Ukraine has reported a further four outbreaks of ASF. An infected farm in Kharkivtsi village had imported pigs from the Kyiv region in July and as a result of the outbreak, all 277 pigs on the farm were destroyed.

In Semenivka village one pig was found with ASF and in the Chernigov region, two village pigs were also infected.

There were also two cases in wild boar that were found in the Tarasovschyna forest nature park.

In other disease news, there is a suspected case of LA-MRSA on a pig farm in Gran municipality, Oppland, Norway.

The farm is now under restrictions and is not allowed to transport any animals in or out of the yard until further notice.
