New LA-MRSA Finding in Norwegian Pigs
NORWAY - The Norwegian Veterinary Institute has alerted the FSA that LA-MRSA has been detected in samples from a swine herd in Nord-Trøndelag.

By: LA-MRSA was confirmed on the farm in central Norway on Friday 15 January after suspicions earlier in the week.
All six herds have now been tested with four testing positive and two negative.
Bjorn Rothe Knudtsen, Regional Director of Agriculture, said no other positive samples are expected now as no pigs from the effected herd were supplied to any other farms.
