Neogen announced today that its AquaPrime® NeoKlor has been reviewed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), and the institute determined that NEOGEN’s water disinfectant is in compliance with the USDA National Organic Program, with usage restrictions.

AquaPrime NeoKlor is a 7.5 percent sodium chlorite solution that is EPA-approved for usage in drinking water for livestock and potable water disinfection. AquaPrime NeoKlor can be used in combination with a chlorine dioxide generator to disinfect the drinking water of poultry, swine, cattle and other livestock operations. The product can also be used to disinfect food plant process, poultry process and industrial cooling water, and for clean-in-place water disinfection and wastewater systems.
