Germany’s ASF outbreak moves to Saxony

Germany has reported a case of African swine fever in a wild boar in the Eastern region of Saxony.

According to reporting in Reuters, Germany’s federal agriculture ministry reported the case on 31 October. Additional cases of ASF were reported in wild boar the Eastern state of Brandenburg.

The country has recorded 117 cases of ASF since 10 September. All cases have been in wild animals and no farm pigs have been affected.
