Success of an injection campaign is guaranteed by rigorous organisation and optimal planning. But it also depends on the right choice of syringe and needles. Both have a clear impact in providing an accurate dose and ensure complete protection even up to the last injected animal.

What is a reliable syringe?

Excellent performance of Socorex® syringe is achieved by careful conception and material selection. Ground glass barrel and metal plunger proved to be very reliable for any vaccine type or suspension. Metal valve balls and springs are most efficient when hundreds of injections are performed in a row. Proper plunger tightness without O-ring makes maintenance much easier and avoid any trouble while working. In addition, easy disassembly for cleaning and the availability of spare parts extend the life of the syringe and make it more economical in the long term.

More about needles

Socorex Luer Lock needles are made of long-lasting stainless steel and have a thick wall reducing risks of needle breakage. Very sharp bevel is limiting skin wound even after many consecutive injections. To minimize tissue damages, prefer smallest possible needle diameter (gauge) size, yet taking vaccine thickness into consideration. A smooth flow must be guaranteed to reduce hand fatigue and unnecessary animal stress. The Socorex superior quality needles are supplied in a safety packaging with sliding cover, limiting risk of injuries while handling the needles.

Useful accessories

Supplied as accessories, two rigid extension tubings increase distance between syringe and the animal. This proved to be helpful for reaching pigs on the ground without having to bend down. The extensions also help vaccinating animals in a truck or inside a cage. Fitted with luer lock connections for quick mounting, the extensions are available in 20 and 35 cm length. Small internal tubing diameter limits dead volume and loss of product. Made of rigid PVDF, they are fully autoclavable.
