"In a still challenging scenario for pig farming, pork exports have increased significantly in the accumulated of the year, functioning as an alternative," said Luis Rua, ABPA's market director. "Brazil has grown its participation in relevant markets, in the wake of the decrease in exported volumes, for example, by the European Union, the world's largest exporter, and Canada, the third largest exporter. In addition to the significant increase in volume in China, Chile and Japan are the positive highlights in the first half of the year."
