The federal government of Brazil recently announced the opening of six new markets for Brazilian agribusiness, including four in Japan. 

The announcement was made by the Secretary of Commerce and International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Roberto Perosa, during a meeting with the press of the sector, at the end of November. 

For Japan, new markets have opened for canned beef and pork, and beef and pork extracts. This market had been suspended by the Japanese for eight years. The Brazilian government expects full gradual resumption of exports to begin in 2024.
