US pork exports to Japan trend lower in Q1 - USMEF

First-quarter pork exports to Japan trended slightly lower than a year ago, according to data released by USDA and compiled by the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF). 

First-quarter exports fell 2% to 88,473 mt. 

Export value was down 1% to $357.6 million, as Japan remained the #2 value destination for US pork, trailing only Mexico.
