ABPA names Estevão Carvalho markets executive
Carvalho to lead global trade and market intelligence effortsThe Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) announced last week the hiring of Estevão Carvalho as executive manager of the organisation’s markets area.
Carvalho will be responsible for leading international trade issues and negotiations in the poultry and pig farming sectors. He will also work on domestic market matters, including market intelligence, bilateral negotiations, and stakeholder engagement.
A veterinarian trained at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Carvalho also holds an MBA in International Business from FIA. With around 15 years of experience in global trade, he specializes in market access, institutional relations, sales, and strategy.
He has worked for several organisations linked to the animal protein sector, including the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC) and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, where he served as director of new business.
Carvalho also led international institutional relations at BRF, focusing on markets in the Middle East and Africa.
