Brazil pork prices lose edge over chicken as June prices slip
Greater São Paulo wholesale market shows mixed trends

By: Wholesale prices for pork, chicken and beef declined in Greater São Paulo during most of June, according to Cepea.
Chicken meat saw the steepest drop, narrowing its price gap with pork and affecting market competitiveness.
While pork prices began to recover late in the month, earlier declines in the second half of May and early June kept June averages in check. Pork lost ground to chicken in terms of price competitiveness but gained slightly against beef.
