Conab sees Brazil soy crop up 3.6% in 2025/26

Brazilian crop agency Conab released its first forecast for the 2025/2026 crop season on Thursday estimating a 3.6% increase in soybean output from the previous season, reported Reuters. 

Conab sees Brazil's soybean crop rising to 177.67 million metric tons in 2026 from 171.47 million, and also forecasts a 3.7% increase in the planted area to 49.08 million hectares, compared to 47.35 million hectares the prior season.

The country's total grain crop estimate has also increased from the previous season to 353.76 million tons, from 350.21 million tons.
