Hog giant raises output despite calls to cut supply

By: China's biggest pig breeder Muyuan Foods has revised its estimate for how many piglets will be slaughtered this year to between 12 million and 14.5 million, up from a range of 8 million to 12 million, Reuters reported, citing a stock exchange filing on Thursday.
Chinese authorities have been calling on the country's leading hog producers to cut output to stabilise prices amid a supply glut.
