Brazil exported 1.35 million tonnes of pork from January to November, up 10.3% from the same period a year earlier, according to Cepea. The volume exceeded total exports for all of 2024, which stood at 1.33 million tonnes, based on Secex data.

Monthly exports reached 150,100 tonnes in September, the highest level in the Secex series, which dates back to 1997. Cepea said stronger international demand contributed to firm prices in the domestic market during the second half of the year.

Brazil recently became the world’s third-largest pork exporter, according to the USDA. The Philippines remained the top destination in 2025, importing more than 350,000 tonnes, followed by China with 149,000 tonnes and Chile with 110,000 tonnes through November.
