Brazil pork exports post record January volume
Shipments fall 15% from December but up 10% year-over-year
Brazil exported 115 thousand tons of pork in January, the highest volume for the month since Secex records began in 1997, according to a recent market report from Cepea.
Shipments were down 15% from December 2025, when exports totalled 136 thousand tons. It was the largest monthly decline since 2022.
Despite the monthly drop, exports were 10% higher than January 2025, when 104 thousand tons were shipped.
The Philippines remained the top destination. Brazil exported 37.4 thousand tons to the Philippines in January, down 12% from December but nearly double the volume recorded in January 2025.
