Huvepharma launches Huvezym® neXo, a NEW enzyme for pigs and poultry

By: Huvepharma, a global company focussing on feed additives and veterinary products for livestock, has received full European registration for all poultry and swine species for a NEW enzyme, Huvezym® neXo.
Huvezym® neXo is the first new fibre-degrading enzyme to be launched for decades and adds a new innovative nutritional tool to the toolbox of nutritionists.
Huvepharma received a European Union wide registration for the use of Huvezym® neXo in all poultry and pig species, including sows. This new enzymatic complex is a result of several years of research together with Wageningen University into the enzymatic degradation of fibre in the digestive tract of monogastric animals.
Supported by state-of-the-art science, Huvezym® neXo highlights the importance of cellulose-degrading enzymes when fibre composition shifts to more complex non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs).
Huvezym® neXo contains three labelled enzyme activities: two cellulases, namely 1,4-beta-glucanase and xyloglucanase (the only labelled xyloglucanase among available feed enzymes), combined with a highly efficient 1,4-beta-xylanase, to ensure optimal fibre degradation.
The application of this unique complex of enzyme activities allows the animal to unlock more of the potential nutritional value present in the feed and enables the nutritionist to formulate high-performing diets in a more cost-effective way using raw materials containing more fibre than otherwise possible.
Huvepharma research and customer trials have validated the efficiency and advantages of using Huvezym® neXo in all kinds of diets, showing clear benefits in comparison with applying competing NSPases.
