Brazil shipped 138,300 tons of pork in April, the highest volume ever recorded for the month in the Secex historical series, according to data compiled by Cepea

Although the volume was 9.1% lower than in March, when 152,200 tons were exported, it was 8.2% higher than April 2025, when shipments totalled 127,800 tons.

Among the top destinations for Brazilian pork, Chile was the only one of the five leading buyers to increase imports in April, rising 5.5% from March to 11,200 tons. That made Chile the fourth-largest buyer of Brazilian pork in 2026.

Japan reduced imports from Brazil by 9% from March to April, though the volume was still the second highest in the Secex series.

In the first four months of 2026, exports totalled 526,400 tons, up 14.4% from the same period last year.
