US pork exports to Taiwan more than doubled in the first quarter of 2026, reaching 3,585 metric tons, the highest volume since 2019, according to data released by USDA and compiled by the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF).

Export value climbed 87% year-on-year to $8.5 million.

The recovery marks a turnaround for US pork in a market that has faced numerous obstacles in recent years.
