Latvia Reports 11 New Cases of African Swine Fever in Wild Boar
LATVIA - Eleven wild boar at different locations have been tested positive for the African swine fever virus, according to the most recent weekly report.

By: The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No.24 dated 20 January to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
It records 11 cases of African swine fever in wild boar between 9 and 16 January. They were located at nine different locations across the eastern half of the country, all in already-defined African swine fever infected area which has been established in accordance with the EU legislation.
Six of the animals were found dead; the other five were destroyed.
