Rebranded BioPlus 2B

“Christian Hansen has a product that many people in the industry have been familiar with for many years called BioPlus 2B,” said Dr. Kinsley. “We're in the process of rebranding and freshening that product, and we’re rolling it out at the World Pork Expo.”

BioPlus 2B is a bacillus-based probiotic. It is used to help improve digestibility and efficiency overall in swine production. It is a combination of two of the most extensively researched animal probiotic strains, Bacillus licheniformis and Bacillus subtilis.

“This product has been in the marketplace for about 35-40 years at this point,” he explained. “There's lots of things that we are continuing to discover, so it is important to continue to develop that message and keep it in the forefront in the marketplace. Thus, Christian Hansen has taken on this rebranding endeavor.”

Maximizing potential welfare

The bacillus-based probiotic is intended to help swine producers maximize the potential of their operations.

“Part of our branding has been predictability, flexibility and trustability - all the things that we bring from Christian Hansen,” said Dr. Kinsley. “The products that we provide help producers to maintain their operations as efficiently and productively as possible.”

Probiotics are used for more than just gut health. They are used for microbiota health, gut health, improved digestibility and immune stimulation.

“There are all sorts of impacts that an effective probiotic can bring to help support normal functions,” said Dr. Kinsley. “This probiotic can support each animal so it can reach its greatest potential and help the overall population’s greatest potential at the same time.”
