A prominent poultry producer near Lincoln, Arkansas, U.S.A., has virtually eliminated feed bridging in his feed bins for the chickens he raises with Osborne’s Flow Pro bin agitator innovation.

This producer reports: “We tested some of the very first Flow Pro units for Osborne and were immediately impressed by their ability to reduce feed bridging in our feed bins. Not once have we had to exit the barn to dislodge bridged feed on our bins equipped with Flow Pro.”

The Flow Pro system uses a rotating auger installed in the plastic transition or upper boot of bulk feed bins to provide gentle agitation to keep feed flowing and eliminate clumped feed from high moisture content from entering and blocking feed lines. Unlike other bin agitators, including high-frequency bin vibrators or automatic hammering devices, Flow Pro does not compromise feed quality or bin integrity. The system automatically operates alongside feed delivery systems.

The producer using Flow Pro continues, “We do have to hammer on bins that aren’t yet equipped with Flow Pro, so they really do work well at reducing bridging and empty feed lines. They have worked flawlessly since they were installed.”
