Managing livestock manure is a constant challenge for farmers. The key is to start thinking of it as a resource with value rather than just waste.

Organic waste is considered an excellent source of nutrients for agricultural applications. The current challenge is to find sustainable solutions that create value for organic residues by essentially “turning waste into gold.” Freetilizer believes that we must return to the earth what we have taken from it. Thus, it presents an innovative, sustainable technology for the recovery of organic waste through a fast, economical and environmentally friendly process.

Freetilizer was founded in 2019 by Pipe Masters, a benchmark company based in Portugal and working in the global marketplace. Pipe Masters is devoted to the manufacturing and assembly of metal structures, piping and industrial equipment through modern implementation processes and innovative technologies. The company’s objective is to promote social and environmental awareness to customers, providing them with solutions that bring economic, environmental and process added value. After several years searching for biotechnological processes and mechanical solutions for organic waste treatment, Freetilizer was born.

Innovative Technology

Freetilizer is an innovative technology with a pending patent that creates new value for organic waste and by‐products from the primary sector or the food processing industry, transforming them into organic fertilizers in less than 24 hours. The entire process is energy efficient, fast, compact and exploits all resources with a zero‐waste approach.

The technology is based on a hydrolysis process that applies specific enzymes in a reactor with controlled agitation, pH and temperature. The by‐products are digested, promoting an increase in the bioavailability of nutrients. The procedure ends with an efficient drying step, using a vacuum drying process that enables water evaporation at lower temperatures which guarantees nutrient quality preservation and results in the formation of a stabilized product.

The advantages over a traditional composting process are significant. By acting quickly in small spaces and avoiding the formation of odours and greenhouse gases, Freetilizer presents itself as an alternative for the production of organic fertilizers that assists with crop growth and development.

One of the most promising applications is creating value for pig slurry/manure. While simultaneously solving an environmental issue, waste management costs are eliminated, and a new source of revenue is generated. Therefore, Freetilizer technology represents a unique opportunity for the efficient production of organic waste‐based fertilisers that are presently in high demand.

Advantages

‐ Low Energy Consumption

Freetilizer has a low energy consumption, using vacuum drying: 200KW per ton.

‐ Water Reuse

The process water is evaporated and subsequently condensed, stored and reused in the next process.

‐ Non-polluting Technology

It’s a non‐polluting technology. The release of gases into the atmosphere is residual due to the fast process in a closed circuit, without releasing effluents.

‐ Customization

The process allows for the customization of the valued output according to the customer needs, as well as the ability to customize the equipment dimensions.

‐ New Source of Revenue

The costs indexed to organic waste and by‐products management are eliminated and converted into a new source of revenue, resulting from the sale of the generated output.

We look forward to hearing from you.
